LOGIQ PRIVACY NOTICE
Effective Date: September 1, 2026
Version: privacy-2026-09-01
Synergistic Research, Inc. ("SR," "we," "us," or "our") provides this notice for the LogIQ hardware, applications, accounts, websites, connected services, support, and related features. It explains what information we process, why we process it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you.
1. Who Controls Your Information
Synergistic Research, Inc., 11208 Young River Avenue, Fountain Valley, California 92708 USA, is responsible for the LogIQ information described here. Contact service3@synergisticresearch.com for privacy requests.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Account and contact information
We process identifiers and account details such as email address, telephone number when used for SMS sign-in, display name, authentication provider identifiers, password hashes, verification status, account preferences, and communications with us.
2.2 Purchase, subscription, and transaction information
We process subscription tier, status, billing-period dates, usage allowances, redemption and credit records, transaction references, and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers. Payment-card details are collected and processed by Stripe or the applicable app store, not stored by LogIQ.
2.3 Product, device, and network information
We process LogIQ and Quark identifiers, firmware and software versions, device linking and authorization state, selected settings, saved scenes, synchronization status, local cache counts, maintenance commands and receipts, application version, operating system, browser or device type, IP-derived network information, and diagnostic data.
2.4 Listening, music, and AI information
When you use connected identification, analysis, voice, or AI features, we may process audio samples, spoken requests, text prompts, music metadata, recognition results, generated responses, settings, feedback, and conversation history. LogIQ writes an activated recording to temporary storage only to process that request and deletes the temporary recording when the request finishes. The recording is transmitted to the disclosed processing provider; provider handling is governed by our service arrangement and the provider's applicable terms.
2.5 Usage, analytics, security, and support information
We process feature events, timestamps, request and session identifiers, coarse IP prefixes, user-agent information, authentication events, error and operational logs, support correspondence, data-export and deletion events, and security or fraud indicators. Logs can include a filename, content type, or byte count, but LogIQ does not place the raw audio recording itself in application logs.
3. Why We Process Information
- Provide accounts, subscriptions, connected music identification and analysis, AI assistance, cloud synchronization, saved scenes, settings, support, and requested communications.
- Authenticate users, authorize Quarks, prevent misuse, secure the Product, diagnose failures, preserve service integrity, and investigate fraud or security incidents.
- Process payments, administer trials and credits, maintain transaction and assent evidence, meet tax, accounting, consumer, and legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
- Measure performance and improve reliability, usability, and features using operational analytics and feedback.
Depending on where you live, our legal bases include performing a contract, taking requested pre-contract steps, complying with law, protecting vital interests, our legitimate interests in operating and securing LogIQ, and consent where law requires it. You may withdraw consent for future processing without affecting processing already lawfully performed.
4. AI and Model Training
SR does not use identifiable audio recordings, prompts, listening history, account information, settings, or feedback to train SR or third-party general-purpose AI models. We may use aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked back to you to evaluate and improve product operation. We configure service providers consistently with this commitment where the provider offers relevant controls.
5. When We Disclose Information
We disclose information only as reasonably needed for the purposes above, under contracts and safeguards appropriate to the service. Depending on the feature used and production configuration, providers include:
- cloud hosting and database providers, including Microsoft Azure and Neon;
- AI and audio-processing providers, including OpenAI for language or transcription functions and ACRCloud for music recognition;
- payments and app distribution providers, including Stripe, Apple, and Google;
- authentication, communications, and support providers, which may include Apple, Google, Twilio, SendGrid, or Mailgun depending on the method used;
- analytics and reliability providers, including PostHog;
- music metadata and artwork sources, such as Discogs, MusicBrainz, Cover Art Archive, Apple/iTunes, Spotify, or Google, when a feature requests their data;
- professional advisers, authorities, counterparties, and successors when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, claims, corporate transactions, or protection of rights.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If those practices change, we will update this notice and provide any legally required opt-out.
6. International Processing
LogIQ is offered worldwide and information may be processed in the United States and other countries where SR or its providers operate. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and supplementary safeguards. Local privacy and consumer rights remain available as required by law.
7. Retention
We retain each category only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including providing your account and connected features, keeping security and fraud evidence, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting tax, accounting, warranty, regulatory, and legal obligations. We then delete or anonymize it.
- Activated raw recordings: held by LogIQ only in temporary request storage and deleted when processing finishes; the processing provider may apply its own documented service retention.
- Account content such as saved scenes, preferences, prompts, and conversation history: while the account is active and until the user deletes the content or account, subject to backup rotation and legal holds.
- Security, diagnostic, and fraud records: for the period reasonably necessary to protect LogIQ, investigate incidents, document actions, and meet legal requirements. SR does not currently promise a fixed 90-day period.
- Transaction, subscription, warranty, assent, and compliance evidence: for the applicable contractual relationship and the limitation, tax, accounting, warranty, consumer-protection, or recordkeeping period.
- De-identified information: for as long as it remains de-identified and useful for legitimate product or business purposes.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Your account provides access to profile controls, data export, subscription management, and account deletion. If an SR-billed subscription is active, use Manage Subscription to cancel it; account deletion becomes available after the paid period ends. You can disable microphone, Bluetooth, local-network, notification, analytics, or similar permissions in your device settings, although a related feature may stop working. Marketing messages include an unsubscribe method; service and security messages may still be sent.
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or review of certain automated decisions, and may appeal or complain to a regulator. Send requests to service3@synergisticresearch.com. We may verify identity and may retain limited information where law permits or requires.
9. Account Deletion
Account deletion is available after any SR-billed subscription has ended. Use Manage Subscription to cancel active billing; if access continues through a paid period, return after that period ends. Account deletion then revokes account authorization, ends sessions, deletes or anonymizes direct identifiers and customer content, and disconnects devices. SR may retain limited transaction, billing, fraud, security, assent, warranty, support, and legal records when required or reasonably necessary, with access restricted to those purposes. Deleting a LogIQ account does not itself erase records controlled by Stripe, an app store, or another provider; contact that provider for its records.
10. Children
LogIQ is not directed to children under 13. Accounts are intended for people who have reached the age of legal majority where they live, except when an eligible minor is managed by a parent or guardian as permitted by law and the Product.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information and service. No system is completely secure. Report suspected vulnerabilities or unauthorized account access to service3@synergisticresearch.com.
12. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice to reflect product, provider, legal, or operational changes. We will post the new version and effective date. For a material change, we will provide additional notice and request renewed acknowledgment or consent where required.
